Hello, my beautiful babies!!!!!

FINALLY!!! I have a moment to "breathe" (translation: post endlessly about my eventful September/October).

But first - CELEBRITY SIGHTING!!!!! Upon leaving my first day at my Park Ave, beauty PR job, I walk unknowingly into a shoot for "SATC: The Movie". Wow!!!

Anyhow - I got a job in NYC! I've been here for about a week now, and I LOVE it! I was meant for a place like this. I definitely still love DC, but New York is great. I work for a beauty/fashion PR firm, and it's going well. I think my boss really likes me because we come from similar backgrounds. We both started out as academics and studied IR, then law. I've definitely been paired up with the right person. The office is chic, etc, etc. Everyone's young (which is a major plus for me)! The conference room looks like something out of Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic collection. It's the little things that make a difference. I'm so happy I can be creative with my work wardrobe and don't have to sit in boring leather chairs at an oversized mahogany conference table during staff meetings. For now, I'm the low woman on the totem pole, but nothing is beneath me while I pursue a career in something that really interests me. I spend a large portion of the day reading magazines, looking for product placements, and sending things to editors. My boss just tasked me with working on our new website blog. Once the site goes up, I'll post a link!

In other news - while in DC, I started a PR/Events/Promotions company with my sister (www.tuesdayandwednesday.com). Our first event was last Thursday, which I drove back to DC for. LOTS of people came out to our party, and we really impressed the venue owner. It was such a success, so we're extraordinarily excited about it!!!! For those of you in the DC area, our next party is THIS Thursday. This Splendorita will not be there (unfortunately), but I'll have a cocktail in the Lower East Side in it's honor.

Let's see...I bought a Chloe' bag to celebrate my good fortune - which disappeared as soon as I purchased said bag, but at least I have something to show the fortune I once had.
