I'm totally alive. Where has my Splendora love gone??? It's still here, but the last week and a half has been a total basket of stress. My mind is so fried, I'm watching the Bret Michaels show on VH1. But at least I have a freshly made bed - I'm so proud of myself for actually changing my linens. I was ready to pass out at 2 this afternoon. Anyway. How stoked am I for some of the fresh make up colors/products out there. Two majors have/will launch(ed) this week: 1. "For Audrey" from China Glaze 2. Peter Som's "P.S. Kiss" I love it! My dress came from Saks today! Yay!!!! (See a few posts back.) I'm going to get back out in the world now that I'm done with the horrors of permits (crossing fingers, since they're all pending approval); and my boss told me that this year is the first year we've "finished" vying for our permits before the start of September. Which reminds me - it's that time of year ALREADY?!?!!! I can't believe how quickly the last four months have flown by. Oh, and, I've been sewing! I'm so totally excited about my bags. My uncle insists that I start selling them, and spoke to his friend that owns a tennis shop (because they're uber preppy and have tennis rackets on them - oh...they're travel/gym/tote bags, btw - so completely sporting goods appropriate); I'll start selling there by mid-September, hopefully. Quick question - please tell me someone has a quick fix for chin breakouts. I definitely have a wedding coming up, and my chin hates me these days. Until this summer, I thought I was the queen of acne defense, but, alas, I am not. Also - for those of you who were into those Tashkent cut out booties, they're on uber sale (in their bright blue incarnation) at shopbird.com (one of my recent "What Tos"). Tammi

broken out chin
Chins often equal hormones. Hopefully you live in the bay area and we can get your chin in tip top shape before the wedding. Absolutely no peanuts or peanut butter not even 1 single peanut M&M. Peanuts have too much androgen(male hormones)and will cause your oil glands to produce more oil and lead to more clogged up pores.So all other nuts are, ok but, stay away from that pimple causing legume! Cleanse with a good cleanser: I like, Jan Marini's bioglycolic cleanser. It is gentle enough for anyone. don't pick and always use ice to bring down the inflammation. Also, don't scrub, it will spread the infection and cause more break-outs. You can always call the office too, I will be able to ask you a few questions and get down to the bottom of your skin dilemma.

Hey Tammi,
I normally use Clinique facial soap but when my face gets unusually oily from the hot summer days, I use Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub and it really helps with sudden breakouts. I don't breakout often either but when I do, this helps. I know it says it's for blackheads but I think the microbeads in the scrub have a serious cleansing effect. It's worth a shot since it won't cost you an arm & a leg. You can get it any drug store or supermarket.

You are definitely not the only one hooked on "Rock of Love" - it's so crazy. But strippers and maniacs need love too. That Lacey is a lunatic. I hope Shari can help me out. But now that I think about it, my stress may have something to do with these sudden breakouts.
