Why V8GRRRL ?

Hubby and I have owned Volvos since the late 70s.  Volvos have evolved--the safety remains, and fun has been added.  Hubby's Volvo is a convertible, and I just got the new S80 V8.  Crazy power, and sexy engine sound.

What do people not expect to see on the license plate of a Voivo?  V8GRRRL.  My mission in life is to make people smile.  If the license plate doesn't do it, hopefully the fuzzy dice in the back window will.  The only glitch is that my husband often drives my car, and he doesn't look much like a V8 girl....

Returning from Vancouver BC this weekend, the US Customs agent thought it was a reference to the V8 beverage.  A couple guys have thought it meant V8 GROWL because of how the engine "purrs."  Silly boys--V8s are for GIRLS.
