If how one spends New Year's Eve and New Year's Day is any prediction of the year to come then we're in for fabulous fun and surprises. New Year's Eve at Ian Schrager's CLIFT Hotel in San Francisco was *the* party of to attend. And the next day we jetted off to Vegas where we were greeted by a suprise upgrade (thanks Alex!) to a high rollers suite at the Venetian complete with its own steam shower, dry sauna, and mini-gym! We hope your new year is also off to a fabulous start. Here's to good things in store for '04, cheers!

NOT LIKE A VIRGIN
We were gambling away in Vegas the weekend of the pop tart's wedding and were the first to hear the buzz surrounding her saunter down the isle (Vegas works fast man). Everyone seems to have an opinion about the joke that went too far and one of our personal favorites is the cover of this week's People screaming, "Is She Over the Edge?"
And now rumors are flying that she's delaying the release her 2nd single from In the Zone due to the fallout from her naughty nuptials. Baby girl should have been spending more time with windbag Madonna at the Kabbalah centre instead of bowing to the porcelain god after too many Malibu & Coke's and Marlboro Ultra Lights.
PS: In a recent Friday ForPlay we forgot to mention that Lara Flynn Boyle's shopping spree took place at one of our favorite L.A. boutique's, Jack Henry.

COUPLINGS
As you can see from the photo at left, Mark Wahlberg has shirked his duties as daddy and is giving Miss Jessica Alba the Dirk Diggler treatment. Over the holiday Marky Mark allegedly spent some time with his new baby and ex-fiance Rhea Dunham and then split for some old fashioned carousing in South Beach. Mark & Jessica were spotted pawing each other all over Miami during the holiday week.
In other news, we hear that Chris Klein and sweet Katie Holmes got engaged over New Year's.
