| Every girl has a fashion soft spot for Nicole Miller. She had our back during the most sacred rights of passage; junior prom, job interviews, date dresses, even our first foray as a bridesmaid. Speaking of prom, one of us was so desperate for a hot little red number Nicole put out in '93 that we went back and forth to Henri Bendel to ogle the dress that our mother refused because it was too alluring. The denial still irks and we are certain we would have been crowned prom queen if mom had cooperated. The fabulous Nicole still sits high atop our fashion pedestal and we are thrilled to have her as this week's celeb forecaster. |

DRINK ME: TOXIC POP
The symmetry between Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears goes beyond the simple "triple threat" thing. Lewis Carrol could have penned the story of these two unlikely protagonists who while frolicking in the sun, fell down a rabbit hole and began their psychedelic journeys involving inflating and deflating careers, pairing up with madhatters, and no doubt crying a river. While JLoon swells with child and brushes off (if not manufactures) the critical press surrounding her "third time's a charm" marriage, parallel pop star Brit is keeping us guessing about her nuptials with Justin Timberlake dancer, Kevin Federline. Meanwhile Mother Pop, Madonna has changed her name to Esther in Kabbalah circles and is said to have rekindled her friendship with fellow American turned Brit, Gwynnie P. The irony in all this mess is that the pop star who is dating infamous womanizer Jay Z and who made her debut with the song "Crazy in Love" is the sanest of all. |
