    SPLENDORA'S CELEBRITY SLEUTH

Image While kicking it in the Southland, our Splendora sleuth played paparazzi and came back with stories of good gawking. Star sightings included; fake punk rocker Avril Lavigne (we think her real name is April Levine) at Koi canoodling with her Sum 41 beau (pictured at left.) She was wearing her typical regalia which included a mini, ribbed tank, and combat boots. Also spied was the lank-haired Kid Rock rolling with his boys on Sunset in a huge vintage convertible; comedian and head Friar Jeffrey Ross at the Melrose Trading Post flea market; and a camouflage shorts clad Lisa Ling and her cutie boyfriend. And last but certainly not least, shopping at the Hollywood Farmer's Market was king hipster Mike D. from the Beastie Boys. With nary an air of arrogance, Mike was pushing his cart which was laden down with veggie delights stuffed into Target shopping bags. This politically conscious recycler even stopped to pick up a free LA Times on his way out. Lucky that we were wearing our rad new Dita shades to hide the glee when we spotted this true hip hop legend.

    SHE'S GOT THE MERCEDES-BENZ

Image It's almost a tradition among Hollywood heavy hitters to flee the confines of 90210 to cash in on commercials and print ads in foreign countries. But, is the trend motivated by money or is it simply an insatiable craving for exposure? Direct from Milano is the lastest sensation on the runway seen here modeling for Dsquared (or is it double D?). Looks like Christina can safely return to her bad girl roots now that Britney has effectively knocked herself out of the Pop-si challenge by a) hooking up with an ex-timberlake dancer whose newly ex-girlfriend is expecting their second child this month; b) announcing her engagement to said dancer in the same month; b) releasing her greatest hits album. Say what we will about X-tina but this girl is rolling past her competition and has recently laid down a track titled "Hello" for a Mercedes-Benz campaign which will run in Europe. More like Goodbye to Britney and Jlo.
