    Darlings,

Fall is in full force and we're starting to have visions of sugarplums and turkey gravy (we always like to stay ahead of the "curve"), which means it's time to hit the gym before eating season begins. Be sure to read your Sales & Saucy happenings every week to find out about slimming savers and sportswear shopping nights. Say what? Read on.

    DUKE-ING IT OUT OVER HAZZARD
Eeny, meeny, miny, mo. Britney Spears is just a ... Mandy Moore is much too sweet so Jessica Simpson will get the treat. Yes, it's true. Not only is a "Dukes of Hazzard" planned for production but Jess has beat out former teen rivals and landed the role of Daisy Duke to play opposite Johnny Knoxville (Jackas$) and Seann William Scott (American Pie). Not bad for a girl with little or no acting experience. Not only is her show with Lachey running for a third season on MTV but little sister, Ashlee's show is also being renewed. And then there's the Christmas special with Nick, not to mention the Dessert makeup line at Sephora. What's next? How about a reality show with Simpson as a soccer mom? Quick, someone call Bravo.

    EVERY LITTLE STEP HE TAKES

Image It seems like only a few short seasons ago that Queer Eye was the talk of the nation. It was fresh. It was funny. Kyan was a hunk a hunk of burnin' love. And Carson's linguistic license (tanorexic) was pure genius. But then came the magazine covers, the guest appearance on the MTV Music Awards, and the (reasonable) demand for a revised contract and pouf, they faded faster than a pair of acid washed jeans. So what's next on the Bravo roster? A reality TV show called "Being Bobby Brown." And we're not talking the make up artist. We're talking Mr. I Singlehandedly Destroyed The Once Gorgeous, Angelic Voiced Whitney Houston. It sounds like it's going to be a comical cocktail of Cops and Surreal Life. And you better bet it's on our TiVo queue.

    LOS ANGELES
    EINSTEIN, an art exhibit
Just because we Splendorians love to shop and sculpt our brows doesn't mean we can't relish the chance to explain the difference between relativity and special relativity to unsuspecting friends at cocktail parties. Making its only West Coast appearance at the Skirball, Einstein is the most comprehensive presentation ever mounted on the life and theories of the greatest scientist of the twentieth century. This landmark exhibition-which inaugurates the Skirball's new Winnick Hall-explores the legacy of Albert Einstein (1879-1955) not only as a scientific genius who reconfigured our concepts of space and time, but also as a complex man engaged in the social and political issues of his era.
