Fashion 411 >>

We're sure you know all about New York fashion's boldfaced players (Anna Wintour, André Leon Talley, Cathy Horyn, Suzy Menkes, Simon Doonan, etc.). But there are thousands of people who make the American fashion world go 'round, many of them unknown to the general public. Here's a little tutorial on who's who in the world of NY Fashion Week.

Trend Report >>

So far we're loving the Spring '09 trends. The colors have been muted: creams, whites and slates dominate, but the splashes of orange, yellow and blue keep the runway alive. Cuffed, slouchy trousers will keep the flood waters at bay, and the suit jacket is appearing much more fitted this season, but not without the occasional visit from last seaons's boyfriend fit.

Spring '09 Beauty Forecast >>

Fashion isn't the only thing showing its face on the runway this season. Spring beauty trends are revealing themselves and our editors are here to tell you what's hot, and how to get the look. Check out our picks for 'What To Hair', 'What To Make-up', 'What To Beauty', and more from the Spring 2009 Catwalk.

Shop

Collette X Gap Pop-up Shop
Colette, our favorite Parisian store representing all things conceptual and hip, is teaming up with The Gap to open up a pop-up store during Fashion week, from September 6th - October 5th. It is located next to the Gap flagship store on Fifth Avenue and 54th Street.

Dine

Libertine at Gild Hall, 15 Gold St (at Platt), 212-232-7700.
With a soft-opening tonight (Friday Sept. 5), the Libertine is the newest restaurant and lounge in the Financial District. This dimly lit happy hour spot is perfect for throwing back Old Fashioneds. It's also perfect for your next after (or during) work drink or relaxing weekend date.

Beauty

Red Market 32 Gansevoort St., 4th fl, New York, NY 10014 (Meatpacking District) 212-929-9600
Owners David Cotteblanche and Reynald Ricard opened this late night spot for cut, color, ionic conditioning treatments, makeup, life coaching, and blowouts back in 2006.
